About AfterMy

AfterMy was built by people who have spent more than twenty years in debt advice and credit broking. We have set formal arrangements up, run them, and seen people through to completion.

Traditionally, what happened after that point is nothing. No advice, no reliable resource, no route back. People come out of an arrangement wanting to rebuild into a stronger financial position, which means finding credit that is affordable and sustainable, and there is no set way to do it. So they piece it together from forum threads, apply for whatever looks plausible, and collect declines that set them back further.

We are here to change that.

We are an FCA-authorised credit broker, Payment Plan Limited, FRN 661940. We do not lend and we do not sell credit of our own. We introduce you to lenders and partners who fit your situation, and we are open about how we are paid.

Two things follow. We only earn if an introduction is right for you and you go ahead with it, so we have no reason to push you toward something you will be declined for. And with no product of our own to defend, if the honest answer is wait six months, that is the answer you will get.

The first thing we built was not an application form. It was the guides.

Most of what people believe about credit after a debt solution is wrong, and the errors are expensive: that completing your arrangement clears your file, that you must wait six years to apply for anything, that checking your options damages your score. Our guides set out what actually happens, with the dates. They are free, there is no sign-up wall, and they are there whether you use us or not.
