Getting your PayPlan completion certificate
PayPlan explains that your insolvency practitioner checks every payment has been made, closes the IVA, tells your creditors and then issues the completion certificate. PayPlan says your insolvency practitioner will usually send it within 12 weeks of your final payment.
It says to keep the certificate safe, as you may need it in the future. If it seems late, PayPlan's advice is to contact your practitioner and reply to any messages.
Ask in writing, quote your IVA reference, and look yourself up on the Individual Insolvency Register to confirm the IVA is recorded as completed.

Start your Comeback PlanChecking your credit file and the register
Once your PayPlan IVA has finished, check your credit file. Experian, Equifax and TransUnion must each give you your statutory credit report free of charge.
Look for the IVA recorded as completed and the accounts included in it updated to show it has ended. If anything is wrong, tell the agency: it must investigate and correct anything wrong, and your completion certificate is your evidence.
Search your name on the Individual Insolvency Register too. An IVA stays on your credit file for six years from the date it started, or until it ends if that is later.
Our guide, When does an IVA leave your credit file?, explains the date.
