Getting your UK Debt Expert completion certificate

Creditfix says that when your arrangement is complete 'you will be issued an IVA completion certificate as proof', once the Licensed Insolvency Practitioner has confirmed your scheduled payments and obligations have been met. If you are waiting, ask Creditfix in writing, quoting your IVA reference, and look yourself up on the Individual Insolvency Register to confirm the IVA is recorded as completed.

Checking your credit file and the register

Creditfix suggests sending a copy of your certificate to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, and showing it to any creditor that still shows an active IVA. Start with your statutory credit reports: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion must each give you one free.

Check that your UK Debt Expert IVA is marked as completed and that the debts in it reflect that. If they don't, raise it with the agency, which must investigate and correct anything wrong, and attach your completion certificate.
